According to the AEW World Champion himself, Chris Jericho is going out of his way to help the company heel group, Dark Order, get over with fans.

Chris Jericho, even before coming to AEW, has always been a proponent with helping and pushing fresh, young talent early in their careers. That’s never been a secret.

I mean, hell, he put over Fandango at WrestleMania. Fandango! At Mania! No diss to Fandango (I love him and his dancing schtick to death), but these are simply two very different names on two very different totem poles. But that didn’t stop Jericho from agreeing to lose to the new guy months after his debut.

Whether he is taking the pinfall from a newer wrestler or merely given that wrestler advice backstage, Jericho has always gone out of his way to mold new talent as bonafide stars and future main eventers. And now, he continues to do so for members of the All Elite Wrestling roster.

During a guest appearance on the Keepin It 100 podcast (per a report from Sportskeeda), the AEW World Champion spoke candidly about offering pointers to young stars. He cited Sammy Guevara as his first example, saying that he convinced Guevara to ditch the Panda headdress.

He then zeroed in on explaining on how he’s been working with The Dark Order and given them (specifically Evil Uno) little suggestions.

When The Dark Order first debuted for AEW, Evil Uno wrestled without a shirt on. Which, in Jericho’s words, made Uno look like “a wrestling fat guy.” He suggested that Uno should start wrestling with a sleeveless shirt and now, in Jericho’s mind, Uno looks like a much more interesting (albeit weird looking) character that can be taken seriously.

This small suggestion seems to have been enough to help The Dark Order’s presence in the eyes of the fans. Most recently, the heel horde closed out AEW Dynamite standing tall over top babyfaces like The Young Bucks, SCU, Cody and Dustin Rhodes.

Who knows? Maybe, next, we’ll see Jericho work with The Dark Order even further by booking an onscreen angle. Any chance an Inner Circle alliance with The Dark Order could be on the horizon?
