The Lucha Brothers (Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix) (0-1) vs. Cody (0-1) & Dustin Rhodes (1-0) w/ Arn Anderson

Pentagon did his pose, and Cody dropped down and hit an uppercut. Pentagon and Cody exchanged finisher attempts, and both men tagged out. Dustin and Fenix tried to exchange big moves too, and neither was able to get the advantage. Cody turned around and Fenix kicked him right in the back of the head.

Pentagon kicked the legs of Cody, but Cody slipped out of a fireman’s carry and hit a superkick on Pentagon. Dustin tagged in but ended up getting hit some quick moves from both Pentagon and Fenix as Fenix hit a suicide dive and then Pentagon hit a double stomp. Pentagon Jr. hit a huge chop on Dustin and tagged out.

Fenix and Pentagon worked over Dustin’s leg for the next few minutes, keeping him in their side of the ring with some good basic tag team wrestling. Dustin hit uppercuts on both Dustin and Pentagon and was slowly crawling towards Cody. Fenix grabbed a chair, but Arn took the chair away and Dustin hit Fenix with a spinebuster before tagging out to Cody.

Cody ran across the ring and was accidentally sent into a Frankensteiner on Pentagon by Fenix. Cody then hit a powerslam on Fenix, a suicide dive on Pentagon, and then 10 corner punches on Fenix. Cody went for Cross Rhodes, but Fenix fought out. Cody threw Fenix into the ropes, but Fenix rebounded with a kick and then a cutter.

They setup their finisher, but Cody fought out. The Lucha Bros hit some insane double team offence, with Fenix running across the rope and hitting a kick on Cody.

Pentagon then hit Made in Japan on Cody, who rolled to the outside. Dustin hit Fenix with a Canadian Destroyer, and Cody came back in and ran up the ropes, flying backwards with a Diamond Cutter on Pentagon Jr. Dustin hit the Final Reckoning on Fenix for the pinfall!

Result: Dustin (2-0) & Cody Rhodes (2-0)

Rating: ***1/2 (3.5 stars)
