Naomi

My colleague, Candice Tinnon, recently speculated on when and how Naomi could make her long awaited return to the ring, but if the former SmackDown Women’s Champion is able to come back sooner rather than later, then giving her the #30 spot in the Royal Rumble may be the best move.

I understand that some may debate whether Naomi is a big enough name to justify the final spot in the Women’s Rumble, but among many things, the #30 spot is supposed to make for a big moment. The one last surprise gasp to bring the crowd to their feet. I think if Naomi comes out as the final entrant, the reaction may surprise a lot of people, given how many fans are still asking about and begging to see her return.

Even better, watching Naomi clean house as said final entrant would just be wildly entertaining. Her last couple Rumble spots and her stint in the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal (specifically the one she won) saw her play that Kofi Kingston-esque role when it comes to big spots. She saved herself from elimination in some memorable spots and had some just as memorable eliminations.

As she’s proven time and time again, just give her a spotlight to shine and mark my words, Naomi will glow.
