WWE Royal Rumble 2020: 5 potential entrants for No. 30 in the Women’s Rumble
Shayna Baszler
Of course, in the case that Ronda Rousey is not available, there is another one of her Four Horsewomen pals who have been picked as a favorite to win this year’s Royal Rumble: Shayna Baszler.
Don’t think of this as a constellation prize just because WWE can’t get Ronda Rousey, because it is much more than that. Baszler won a lot of fans during the NXT invasion of Raw and SmackDown a few months back and in her first main event of her first major Pay-Per-View, she shined with a win over both Bayley and Becky Lynch at Survivor Series.
And of course, in the build to that match, we got that epic interview segment between her and Lynch that many people praised as something WrestleMania worthy. Some people are still hankering for a Lynch vs. Baszler bout. Maybe this year’s Mania is the right time and place.
As of this writing, we have not seen Shayna Baszler on television since she lost her NXT Women’s Championship on the final NXT episode of 2019. Imagine the pop if after being M.I.A. for an entire month, she winds up being the very last entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble.
