WWE WrestleMania 36 will take place on April 5 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT live on the WWE Network with a potential two-hour kickoff show beginning at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT. The following will address three potential opponents for Seth Rollins on the grandest stage of all.

Seth Rollins made 2019 his year to shine. Despite his unpopular match result with ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt at WWE Hell in a Cell 2019, he became a Royal Rumble Winner, 2x Universal Champion, and the hottest thing going on Monday Night Raw to date.

Now that 2020 has come around, he created a new gimmick as the Monday Night Messiah and finds himself in a very compelling heel faction with his disciples, Buddy Murphy and the Authors of Pain. With the momentum he has consistently built up, he must have a match against one of the superstars at WWE WrestleMania 36.

Without further ado, the following will identify and explain three potential opponents for Seth Rollins on the grandest stage of them all.

3.) Rey Mysterio

Seth Rollins called out Rey Mysterio at the Town Hall Meeting in November for not defeating Brock Lesnar at WWE Survivor Series 2019 even with a lead pipe and his idiotic kid. Mysterio took to this heart and gave Kevin Owens a lead pipe to help him pummel Rollins and Authors of Pain.

Because Mysterio assisted Owens in this act, Rollins decided to have Authors of Pain impose his will onto Mysterio. Considering that there are rumors of Rey Mysterio having a retirement match at WWE WrestleMania 36, Rollins would be the perfect heel to end Mysterio’s career.
