There were several big winners at WWE Worlds Collide 2020, but nobody scored a bigger statement-making victory than Imperium’s leader WALTER.

WWE Worlds Collide 2020 featured several big-ticket matches, including an NXT Championship match between familiar foes Rhea Ripley and Toni Storm and a barnburner between DIY and Moustache Mountain. But on a card loaded up with NXT vs. NXT UK dream matches, nothing held higher stakes than a match that didn’t even have a title on the line.

Imperium and The Undisputed Era squared off in the main event of Worlds Collide with pride on the line. The winner would be able to call themselves the most dominant faction in WWE, and it was an issue hotly debated on the pre-show of Worlds Collide.

In the end, Imperium pulled off a victory that some may not have seen coming. And on a show in which NXT UK picked up several big wins, including Jordan Devlin becoming the first NXT UK superstar to win the Cruiserweight Championship, WALTER‘s pinfall on Bobby Fish sent the most shockwaves.

Imperium have Alexander Wolfe, Marcel Barthel, and Fabian Aichner, so they are more than just WALTER. But WALTER is the clear top star of the group, which is why he dominated the match, was the focal point of the story, and picked up the decisive pinfall.

Keith Lee is the NXT superstar who should have the biggest Royal Rumble performance on Sunday, and he is a legitimate pick to win the match. Heck, CM Punk even sees him as the ideal winner.

WALTER, though, is another wrestler who needs to be in the Rumble match with only three unannounced slots open. He is the representative of NXT UK and showed his brilliance – and importance to the brand – by picking up the win in the main event.

A WALTER vs. Brock Lesnar showdown during the Rumble? Sign me up. WALTER is hot right now, and his win in a match that received an ovation from the crowd is a sign of his skyrocketing value. He is a star fit for the big stage, and after winning in the main event of the show kicking off the Royal Rumble, WALTER should have a big role to play at the Big 5 Pay Per View itself.
