Bobby Lashley recently competed in a No. 1 Contender’s match for Brock Lesnar’s WWE Championship on Raw, and while he unsurprisingly lost, his inclusion in the match is a reminder that Lashley vs. Lesnar remains one of The Beast’s biggest remaining dream matches.

Over the past two years, there have been two running themes for Brock Lesnar in WWE. He plays up a “part-time champion” angle in the beginning of the year, working with a top star at WrestleMania and SummerSlam before facing a smaller wrestler at Survivor Series for his highest quality match of the year.

Despite how much fans despise him, Lesnar has remained entertaining in the ring and in certain segments, though everyone is understandably over the repeated storyline of him taking the top title away from a brand.

Lesnar has already feuded with Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, Randy Orton, John Cena, AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, Rey Mysterio, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and, now, Ricochet. He’s set to face Royal Rumble winner Drew McIntyre, who eliminated him from the match, at WrestleMania 36.

Basically, there aren’t many big-ticket matchups left for Lesnar in WWE. Matt Riddle and others in NXT could be great future opponents for The Beast Incarnate, but there’s one veteran of the wrestling ring who stands out as a dream opponent for Brock.

And that’s Bobby Lashley.

Here are three reasons why Lashley vs. Lesnar should finally happen in 2020.
