Kris Statlander has been absent from AEW television for a while now in order to focus on her independent wrestling commitments, but prior to the start of her hiatus, she was able to become the most beloved and over act in the women’s division in just a short amount of time after the company first started to push her.

Statlander has a grand connection with the fans as a babyface in the same way that fans are connecting with Nyla Rose, either by booing her monster character or slowly being endeared by her journey. Two characters who manage to develop such strong connections with audiences belong in the ring together, especially when it comes to heel/babyface alignments.

Traditionally, the best matches in wrestling happen when the most beloved babyface takes on the most vilified villain. Respectively, Kris Statlander and Nyla Rose fill those rolls out pretty well. On top of that, you’ve got the idea of Statlander playing underdog to a much bigger, stronger Native Beast.

All of these elements could potentially come together to craft an incredibly fun, captivating, perhaps even PPV worthy match whenever AEW decide to put these stars in the ring against each other.
