WWE Rumors: Charlotte Flair to wrestle Bianca Belair on NXT?
After their past couple of interactions on WWE TV, there seems to be some interest in booking Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair for the future.
As of last Sunday’s NXT TakeOver: Portland, Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley for the WWE NXT Women’s Championship is official for WrestleMania 36, but in the middle of it all lies the EST of NXT.
Readers may recall that when she first made her long awaited return to the Black and Gold Brand a couple weeks back, she got laid out by both Ripley and Bianca Belair. Then, right after Flair got her payback last Sunday by attacking The Nightmare right after she successfully defended her title against Belair, Flair laid out The EST of NXT as well.
Apparently, all of these interactions were meant to set up a much bigger in-ring interaction between Flair and Belair for the future.
According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer (h/t Cagesideseats) there are plans in place for Bianca Belair to face Charlotte Flair on a future episode of NXT TV in hopes of popping a rating for the program. It is unclear if the future NXT Women’s Championship challenger would add another win to her record, or if the match could be designed to give a rub to a newer talent in Belair.

There has been much speculation and general hopes from fans for Belair to add the Flair vs. Ripley title match at WrestleMania in a similar fashion to how Becky Lynch entered what was originally announced as Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey at last year’s Mania.
While that still technically (or, hypothetically rather) is not totally out of the question with just under two months of build-up to go before Mania 36, a one-on-one match pitting the future of the WWE women’s division vs. one of the division’s present top stars may be the next best thing either way.
