This episode of Dynamite, the last before Revolution, continued what has been a fantastic 2020 thus far for AEW. There are nitpicks, but those are outweighed by the overall quality of the presentation. Let’s look at the “booms” (hits) and “duds” (misses) for the Revolution go-home episode.

Welcome back! If you missed my booms and duds last week, here’s the link so you can acclimate yourself to this series.

With Revolution airing this Saturday, AEW needed a strong go-home show to not only build the buy rate (it is 50 dollars, after all), but to build upon what has been a fantastic run of Dynamite’s in 2020. Suffice it to say this may have been the best Dynamite from the first moment to the last to date (and I said that last week!).

The two big advertised segments heading into the show was the 30-minutes Ironman match between Kenny Omega and PAC (a match PAC has been angling for for MONTHS) and the weigh-in for this Saturday’s AEW World Heavyweight Championship with “Le Champion” Chris Jericho and one-eyed Jon Moxley.

We also had a woman’s four-way match with Big Swole, Shanna, Yuka Sakazaki, and Hikaru Shida; a tag match between The Butcher and The Blade (w/ The Bunny) vs. Best Friends (with Freshly Squeezed); a trios tag with the Inner Circle (Santana, Ortiz, & Sammy Guevara) vs. Jurassic Express; and a sit-down interview with Young Bucks and Omega & “Hangman” Page.

Let’s start with what may be the best match thus far in 2020.
