Although AEW Double or Nothing 2020 won’t take place until May 23, it’s never too early to look at what the next All Elite Wrestling PPV card will look like.

AEW Double or Nothing 2020 is just over two months away, and it’s truly amazing to think of how things have changed since All Elite Wrestling presented their very first pay-per-view event on May 25, 2019, with the inaugural Double or Nothing. That night ended with Chris Jericho defeating Kenny Omega in the main event with the Judas Effect, earning him the right to challenge (and ultimately defeat) Hangman Page to become the inaugural AEW World Champion.

Of course, that wasn’t really the end of the night. Chris Jericho demanded a “thank you” from the fans and everyone in AEW, only for the roof to get torn off the building when none other than Jon Moxley came through the crowd. Moxley entered the ring, taking out Jericho and then turning his attention to Kenny Omega.

Moxley and Omega brawled until Double or Nothing went off the air, with the lasting image being Jon Moxley atop a giant stack of poker chips having planted Kenny Omega head-first into them with a move once known as Dirty Deeds, but now called the Paradigm Shift. Now, one year after his monumental arrival in AEW, Jon Moxley enters Double or Nothing 2020 as the reigning and defending AEW World Champion.

Who will be the first to challenge Moxley for the AEW World Championship? Can anyone stop AEW Women’s World Champion “The Native Beast” Nyla Rose? Can Kenny Omega and Hangman Page continue to hold onto the AEW Tag Team Championships? These are all burning questions, so let’s look at just one example of how AEW Double or Nothing 2020 could play out.
