2020 has quickly turned into a dumpster fire of a year, hasn’t it? One minute, we’re rejoicing at the sight of Jon Moxley winning the AEW World Heavyweight Championship and the next minute, we’re being mobbed at grocery stores just trying to pick up a roll of toilet paper. True story.

COVID-19 has ruined the world as we know it and as we transition into a new normal, so to speak, we continue to debate whether or not wrestlign shows should even be active right now, regardless if that wrestling comes from WWE, IMPACT, ROH, or AEW.

The debate on social media has had its champions and had its critics over the past few weeks, but the debate has taken a sudden turn of trajectory as of Apr. 9, when the state of Florida deemed athletes of all sports to be apart of “essential media” as long as crowds aren’t present.

This new law going into effect allowed WWE to resume their live shows from the Performance Center this week while the law also opens the door for sports like basketball and baseball to resume operations in the state as well.

One has to wonder where that leaves AEW in the middle of all this, seeing as they recently went on hiatus after taping enough Dynamite episodes to run through May.

If AEW does so happen to return in the near future, we wonder who could benefit from the most from these new tapings by having a big year going forward.
