5 wrestlers who can become the face of AEW in the future
AEW Dynamite has been running for about seven months now, so it’s time to look at a few wrestlers who have a chance to become the future face of the company.
When AEW started, they signed Britt Baker and Chris Jericho to be the biggest names in the women’s and men’s Divisions, respectively. But the cornerstone players of the company would be Brandi Rhodes, Cody Rhodes, Matt and Nick Jackson, Kenny Omega, and Hangman Page as the members of “The Elite”.
But it’s possible the future face of the company could be someone outside of The Elite. For many fans, that would be preferable, since there’s nothing like watching a rising star ascend to the very top of a wrestling promotion.
Here are five wrestlers who could do exactly that.
Nyla Rose
We begin with Nyla Rose, who is the current AEW Women’s Champion and one of the most well-liked stars on the roster despite being a heel. Rose has done a fantastic job as a destroyer in the division, sending other women through tables and just being a downright merciless force on Dynamite.
Because of the pandemic, we haven’t seen much of the champions lately. However, Rose’s work before becoming champion speaks for itself. Her quick wit and goofiness on social media also hint at serious babyface potential in the future. There are several women who have set themselves apart in the AEW Women’s Division since October, but few have shown the upside Rose has. That’s why she’s the champion.
