Overall, the WWE Money in the Bank 2020 pay-per-view (PPV) was pretty solid, but that main event truly blew everything out of the park. It delivered entertainment and had many fans on the edge of their seats, almost to the point where most of us were sad to see it end!
The main event had action, suspense, and some high-flying spots; with a bit of comedic relief sprinkled in between. Yes, some incredible moments were spotlighted, and below are five of the best from the 2020 MITB ladder match main event (which were a challenge to narrow down).
Where’s Asuka?
Starting the MITB match off with a bang! While the male entrants of the match congregated at the WWE Headquarters’ official gym, the female superstars gathered in the entrance of the building, near the elevators.
Asuka’s music would hit, and while everyone waited with bated breath to see where the Empress of Tomorrow was, fans at home began to start wondering if the Asuka no-show meant something much deeper … did someone attack her? Would someone else be placed in her spot!?
Naw, none of that! She was simply hiding from the ladies above, waiting to start the match off with a bang. She leapt from the top of foyer bar, and the action began!
Guest Appearances
From Brother Love, to John Laurinaitis, Paul Heyman, as well as daddy and daughter McMahon, the guest appearances during the match were well placed, and offered some hilarious and unexpected moments.
While all were humorous in their own right, Dana Brooke thinking she snagged the women’s MITB briefcase (only for Stephanie McMahon to enter the room and rain on her parade) – plus, AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan (accidentally) stumbling into Vince McMahon’s office were the best-of-the-best.
AJ Spooked
Speaking of AJ Styles, the fact that he literally stopped in his footsteps the moment he saw that poster of the Undertaker was the perfect way to continue to tell the story of what happened to him during his buried alive match with the Phenom, and how shaken his character has become as it relates to the Deadman.
Styles recently returned to the WWE, and really hadn’t been seen since his infamous WM 36 match.
The fact that he didn’t address how he “unburied” himself after WrestleMania 36 raised some eyebrows from fans on social media, so this moment in particular, and the way it unfolded with him shying away from a room at WWE Headquarters (that might be considered the Undertaker’s office), was a cool spot.

Roman Reigns Easter Egg
Things have seemed sticky with the WWE and Roman Reigns since WrestleMania 36. But, are they, really?
Sure, tons of wrestling websites have speculated on the fact that the Big Dog pulling out of WWE’s flagship, even right before the PPV, may have ruffled Vince McMahon’s feathers. But, Roman had a very good reason for it and that was protecting his family amongst concerns around COVID-19.
With that said, when WWE seemingly edited Roman Reigns out of a video clip leading up to MITB, which got fans chirping.
Anyone else let out a sigh of relief when a poster of Roman Reigns flashed by, as Styles was making his way through a WWE hallway? Just me? All just might be “right” in the land of sports entertainment and Roman Reigns. #Phew
Are Rey-Rey and Black Okay?
No, seriously … are they okay? Alright, all joking aside, I did completely gasped when King Corbin not only threw Rey Mysterio (seemingly) off the top of WWE Headquarters, but after Aleister Black followed Rey-Rey.
Listen, I fully understand that WWE matches are predetermined, and I’m pretty confident that both Black and Rey are okay, but in the moment, I was taken aback.
