Lio Rush

It is hard to predict just how soon any of the recently released wrestlers from WWE could make a jump to another promotion like All Elite Wrestling. Fightful Select (h/t Heel by Nature) have said that non-compete clauses are still 90 days long (30 days for those from the NXT roster), but without any real confirmation from the wrestlers themselves, it is hard to say.

However, if that is the case and Fightful is right, then at the very least, a former NXT Superstar like Lio Rush could be making an appearance in AEW sooner rather than later. With Black Wednesday taking place on Apr. 15, 30 days would check out by now.

Then again, with Rush teasing that he could be retiring from wrestling altogether as of late on social media, this pick feels all the more trickier to stick with. But let’s assume that Rush isn’t retiring. Because, hey, it’s wrestling, who ever stays retired forever in wrestling?

Beyond that, Rush has just a tremendous array of talent at his possession that I, personally, would love to see added to the AEW roster. I think he’d be a perfect fit and a ladder match like this would be the perfect place to debut his skills on an AEW stage.
