Before signing with AEW, Brian Cage blazed his own path in Impact Wrestling with several memorable matches and rivalries. Here’s a look back at what The Machine has accomplished.

Brian Cage made his successful AEW debut at Double or Nothing on Saturday with a monumental win to establish him as a main event player. For those who have watched him in Impact Wrestling, or even elsewhere, you probably already knew what The Machine was capable of.

While it’s exciting to see Cage step in to the All Elite ring with new and familiar faces, there’s no denying that he will be missed in Impact. His two-year run was full of great matches and big moments as he worked to make sure his name was in the same conversation as several TNA/Impact legends who came before him.

From chasing off Impact icons, to chasing the World Championship, here’s a rundown of the biggest moments of Brian Cage’s Impact Wrestling career.

An Impact-ful debut

Impact Wrestling kicked off 2018 with Brian Cage officially joining their roster. After making a handful of appearances in the years prior, Cage was poised and ready to maul his way through the competition, even if it meant starting at the top.

The self-proclaimed “Swolverine” seemingly retired two of Impact’s top stars at the time in Bobby Lashley and EC3. Lashley suffered two losses to Cage, while EC3 was attacked and never seen again as both were WWE-bound. To keep his momentum rolling, Brian Cage showed off his incredible speed and agility when he competed against five X-Division stars at Redemption in April.

Dezmond Xavier, DJZ, Trevor Lee, Taiji Ishimori, and El Hijo del Fantasma were all no match for The Machine in one of the best matches on the Redemption card. It was a pleasure to witness this match in person, and I believe this performance is what made me a fan.
