FTR vs The Lucha Bros

AEW has promised us the best tag team division in the world. The AEW tag team title match and the eight-man tag bout last week were fantastic. It could be argued this is the best part of AEW’s programming at the present moment.

Half of that eight-man tag team extravaganza is going to be facing off this Wednesday at Fight For The Fallen. On one side, you’ll have the newly signed FTR. Their opponents standing across from them will be The Lucha Brothers.

This match is near the top of dream matches for Cash Wheeler and Dash Harwood. Rey Fenix and Pentagon offer a contrast in styles that is going to match up very well for an old school tag team like FTR. As stated earlier, every match on this card so far could be the best of the night.

My pick is this one. Both are in the argument for the best tag team in the world, so there is something on the line here in this bout. I don’t think either team can afford a loss right now. The Lucha Bros just reformed their partnership for the 1st time since the pandemic last Wednesday. FTR has been made to be a big deal since showing up on AEW Dynamite at the end of May.

I’m going to go with a logical way to book this match, something we haven’t seen in a few months on All Elite Wrestling programming.
