Jungle Boy

Jungle Boy’s rise to fame began before the clock struck midnight on December 31, as he had a killer time-limit draw with Chris Jericho a couple of weeks before the calendar flipped to 2020. A member of the Jurassic Express stable, Jungle Boy has earned plaudits from fans as a wrestler who can become a major player in the company.

Athletic in the ring with sharp technical skills and no shortage of heart, Jungle Boy’s had some other big performances in the ring against top heel MJF at Double or Nothing and then Cody Rhodes in a TNT Championship match on Dynamite.

So in total, Jungle Boy’s had three singles matches against three of the biggest stars in the company, with Jericho and Cody being two of the biggest stars in pro wrestling as a whole. The way Jungle Boy was booked and held his own against then-champion Y2J and current champion Cody shows you just how much faith AEW has in his development.

Furthermore, his record in tag team matches is impressive. Luchasaurus is the big star of the group in the ring when it comes to his effectiveness, but that’s down to his size. Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, and Marko Stunt have formed a beloved, successful trio that picked up a win at Fyter Fest to boot. That stable is also a boost to this young man’s progress.
