AEW Women’s Championship Match: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.

In the women’s division, we have AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida who is fresh off a hard-fought defense against NWA World Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa. Meanwhile, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. was found seemingly fighting for her life in her own dental office against Big Swole.

While the unique clash between Baker and Swole ultimately went in Swole’s favor, it feels like Baker is likely to be the challenger by the time we arrive at AEW Full Gear 2020. Baker vs. Shida was likely the plan before Baker’s injury, and now it’s time to finally make that a reality and potentially even see Baker dethrone Shida and end the reign she started at AEW Double or Nothing 2020.

AEW World Championship Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Eddie Kingston vs. Lance Archer

Finally, we have the AEW World Championship Match. Jon Moxley defended his title against MJF at AEW All Out 2020, and basically had the entire deck stacked against him before the bell even rang. With the threat of losing his title if he dared to execute the Paradigm Shift, Moxley had to get creative against his entitled challenger.

However, it ended up being an attempt by MJF to cheat that left an opening for Moxley to hit the Paradigm Shift while the referee wasn’t watching and retain his title. The next challenger for the AEW World Championship is set to be Lance Archer, who won the Casino Battle Royale at AEW All Out 2020.

Archer could very well take his title match in the coming weeks, but we likely haven’t heard Eddie Kingston, who was the final man eliminated in that match. At least, he appeared to be, but Kingston never actually went over the top rope.

dark. Next. Matt Hardy should not have finished the match at All Out

Eddie Kingston has a legitimate gripe about not having been properly eliminated and could go as far as to interfere in an AEW World Championship Match on AEW Dynamite between Lance Archer and Jon Moxley. That would set the stage for AEW Full Gear 2020 and this monumental triple threat match, where we will hopefully see “The Mad King” Eddie Kingston emerge as the new AEW World Champion.
