What happened in AEW’s women’s division during the All Out fall out?

The latest episode of AEW Dynamite was pretty thin on content from its women’s division. Seriously though literally all of this week’s takeaways are from ONE match. But nevertheless, things must press, so here are some takeaways from what transpired.

Tay Conti is finally All Elite

So AEW made their smartest decision since pairing Joey Janela with Sonny Kiss by finally signing Tay Conti to an official All Elite Wrestling contract.

Conti looked overwhelmed with emotion during her match entrance on Dynamite having finally become an official member of the roster.

She then went onto have an impressive bout against Nyla Rose where she was unfortunately defeated.

However, backstage she was once again greeted by members of the Dark Order, including her bestie, Anna Jay.

After having just taken a loss, and with the promise of more match wins, could Conti be one step closer to joining the Dark Order?

Nyla Rose is still a force to be reckoned with

So Nyla Rose brought Tay Conti, high on life after finally signing with AEW, right back down to earth with a vicious Beast Bomb to win the match.

This match served well for both women as Conti managed to showcase her diverse skillset which includes her judo prowess, as well as serving as a reminder that Nyla is still a force to be reckoned with.

She showed off what makes her stand out with her sheer power and strength, which we saw when Conti failed to pull off a sunset flip on Rose purely because of her size.

Rose, alongside our favourite ‘Karen’ haircut sporting Vickie Guerrero – together known as the Vicious Vixens – have made their intentions known by setting their sights on Nyla’s old title in the AEW Women’s World title.

Nyla is on Shida’s radar

Following her victory against Conti, Rose was about to attempt an unprovoked assault on her opponent, until Hikaru Shida made the save with her trusty old kendo stick in hand.

During the AEW All Out media scrum, Shida stated that she would like a rematch with Rose, who is currently the number one contender for the championship in the women’s rankings, in her next title defence.

After coming face-to-face with her last night on Dynamite, it’s clear who Shida has her eye on to defend her belt against next.
