AEW as employed a slew of lesser-known talent and less-experienced talent, but here are three that stand out as some for fans to keep a close eye on.

All Elite Wrestling continues to set strong ratings each week with AEW Dynamite. The promotion has become a strong alternative to both fans and the performers that make up the industry. One thing AEW has become is an opportunity for new faces to gain exposure on a mainstream platform. These are facing that hardcore wrestling fans know from the independent circuit but are new to fans that watch once or twice a week. Looking at the AEW roster, here are some of the prospects that may not make it to Dynamite each week but can catch the eyes of fans whenever they are leveraged in AEW content.

Lee Johnson, Will Hobbs and Tay Conti are three individuals that should be watched closely as they develop in All Elite Wrestling. Conti was recently signed to a deal with the promotion a few weeks after her debut in the Deadly Draw women’s tag team tournament. Johnson and Hobbs have both been used heavily by the promotion during the COVID-19 global pandemic.

In Conti, AEW has an individual that was once a promising member of the NXT roster. There was a time when Conti was slotted to be a part of the Undisputed Era, but at the time was not considered prepared for what was to be a main event slot. After three years on the roster she was released but made it clear she desired to remain in the professional wrestling industry.

Her inclusion in the Deadly Draw was not much of a surprise, but she performed very well in her matches paired with Anna Jay (another woman to watch on the roster). The news of Conti being signed to the roster full time was met with praise. At 25-years of age and less than four years in wrestling experience under her belt, Conti has the potential to develop into a steady member of the roster.

Johnson and Hobbs are a special pair that AEW needs to sign as quickly as possible. Just like the WWE, when COVID-19 pushed promotions to limit their rosters, both interestingly started to use more people of color on a frequent basis. Johnson and Hobbs are two men that have stuck around with AEW, but not yet been signed to a full-time deal. They have been used mostly as enhancement talent, but many voices within professional wrestling speak nothing but praises for their work during this time.

AEW Dark is the perfect platform to build up all three of these wrestlers. Their promos and in-ring abilities need work, giving them each more time in this setting helps them and the promotion. Every company needs to develop new faces to keep fans interested. AEW has a list of men and women that have been in the company in recent months. Lee Johnson, Tay Conti, and Will Hobbs are three prospects that can develop into special members of this roster.
