AEW: Thunder Rosa is a special talent in wrestling
Thunder Rosa is enjoying the exposure that’s come with being in AEW, but she deserves to have all the attention where ever she steps in the ring.
There are individuals that come into professional wrestling and make an immediate impact, letting everyone know they are a star to watch. Thunder Rosa is one of those individuals. At a time where women’s wrestling is on the rise and getting the respect it deserves, Rosa has emerged as a top talent regardless of promotion. Her current run is worthy of praise and with each time she steps into a ring she reminds viewers why she is one of the best women’s wrestlers in the world.
Five years. Rosa has been performing professional for five years. Since making her debut, she has been a part of many major promotions in the industry. Right now, she is tearing things up as a part of All Elite Wrestling as she is currently “on loan” from NWA, where she is that organization’s champion. Speaking of champion, many do not realize that she is currently “Rosa Tres Titles” as she is not only the NWA World Women’s Champion, but she is also the International Princess Champion and Inspire Pro Twin Dragon Connection Champion with Raychell Rose. All these titles she is held for at least 250 days each.
Not only is Rosa recognized as a top professional wrestler, but she used 2019 to jump into another craft, mixed martial arts. She made her MMA debut as a professional without any amateur experience, fighting at Combate Americas: San Antonio in November. Even though she was on the losing side of the bout, she showed a commitment to the game, setting an expectation that she will return to fighting at some point in time.
Rosa is not one to be trifled with. She has an ability to play both the heel and the babyface in an effective fashion. She is not the classic, chicken type of heel or the babyface in peril. Instead, she is playing the role of a world-beater so well that fans have no choice to believe that she is a threat to anyone that she faces. AEW welcomed her into the fold a few months ago and she is an immediate threat to Hikaru Shida – so much so that it is not clear whether Shida would retain the title if they met for a second time. That match must happen however, as Shida and Rosa were one of the few shining spots at AEW All Out a few short months ago.
With the current landscape of professional wrestling in disarray thanks to COVID-19, there is not telling how long Rosa will continue to appear in AEW. That is why fans must enjoy as much of her presence as possible. This exposure has helped build Rosa’s platform in a way that nearly ensures she will be followed wherever she goes next if this is not a long-term deal. If fans are not already doing so, pay special attention to Thunder Rosa. She is worth every moment of it.
