3. Angel Garza could break out even more on SmackDown after the WWE Draft

The last year alone has been a testament to Angel Garza’s ability. Just a few months after debuting on NXT, he claimed the Cruiserweight Championship from Lio Rush as the division was striving for newfound importance on Wednesday nights.

Garza’s Cruiserweight Title run was very short-lived but the end of his title run was very quickly accompanied by his Monday Night Raw debut and a featured match on the WrestleMania 36 card. Despite the frequent bickering, the team of Andrade and Garza showed promise.

Nonetheless, it appears that they will be going their separate ways. Garza unfortunately suffered an injury at Clash of Champions against The Street Profits but his return should coincide with a new home on SmackDown.

Garza’s short main roster tenure thus far has seen him primarily competing in tag team action but he already has performances against notable wrestlers Rey Mysterio and Kevin Owens—a pinfall victory over the latter—under his belt.

A few weeks off of television, the potential dissolution of his tag team with Andrade and a new brand hypothetically provides a ripe scenario for an Angel Garza babyface run as his talent, charisma, and potential will all sustain him well on WWE SmackDown.
