WWE SmackDown may have secured the biggest steal of the draft in the second round when they plucked a rising star from Raw, Bianca Belair.

While WWE SmackDown had fewer picks in the draft (two to Raw’s three as a reflection of the length of their shows and thus the appropriate sizes of their respective rosters), they likely made the smarter picks throughout the draft’s first nights.

In the first round of the draft, the Blue Brand secured Roman Reigns, and they picked up his former Shield brother Seth Rollins one pick later to give themselves two of the absolute biggest stars of this generation in wrestling.

And then in the second round, they made their best pick. Bianca Belair.

The EST of NXT has had matches and promos on Raw, regularly stealing the show with her promo work, just as she did in NXT this year during her brief involvement in the eventual WrestleMania feud between Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley.

Bianca Belair can be a top star on WWE SmackDown

Belair is one of the most talented wrestlers on the roster, and fans are still baffled as to why she never won the NXT Women’s Championship. She is indeed the smartEST, strongEST, fastEST…the bEST. Those vignettes on Monday nights show it.

And on Friday nights, she is a future WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion. The feud between Sasha Banks and Bayley will surely end up with Banks winning the Blue Brand’s title for the first time, and perhaps Sasha vs. Bianca will be a dream title feud that ends Sasha’s reign.

But until then, we will enjoy the ride of watching Belair organically become a major star on Friday nights. She can become one of the biggest stars in the entire company, and hopefully the folks at FOX recognize this and put pressure on Vince McMahon and WWE to make the push. Of course, Vince reportedly sees Belair as a big star, so we shall wait and do our best to cheer her on.
