AEW Full Gear: Ladder Match

Ladder Match: Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara

It seemed like we were finally going to move forward from this rivalry, which might’ve been a good idea considering the appalling decision made by AEW to not fully stop the match between these two at AEW All Out after Hardy’s obvious injury, but apparently they’re not done yet. While the “Broken Rules Match” looked to end things, AEW will need a new stipulation for these two, and it could be appropriate to go classic and pit them against one another in a Ladder Match.

As for what’s hanging above the ring, there could be a contract that stipulates the end of this rivalry or a “Loser Leaves AEW” style threat along with it, but what really matters is having ladders involved and letting Guevara and Hardy bring this to a close. While their match at AEW All Out had an ending, it didn’t go as anyone had hoped, so hopefully whatever the specifics, these two can finally close this chapter at AEW Full Gear.

AEW Full Gear: Tournament Final

AEW Championship Eliminator Tournament Final: Adam Page vs. Kenny Omega

This week on AEW Dynamite, we see the beginning of an 8-man tournament to decide who will get an opportunity to challenge for the AEW World Championship. The tournament participants include Penta El Zero M, Rey Fenix, Kenny Omega, Joey Janela, Colt Cabana, Adam Page, Wardlow, and Jungle Boy. The finals are confirmed to take place at AEW Full Gear, but the men in that match is still up in the air.

Notably, former AEW World Tag Team Champions turned passive-aggressive rivals Adam Page and Kenny Omega find themselves on opposite ends of the bracket and seem perfectly poised to meet in the finals at AEW Full Gear. This would be a huge match for both competitors as they look to move on to focus on singles competition, and a fitting conclusion for the story between these two former members of The Elite.
