Is AEW making a new video game and a gaming website?
All Elite Wrestling is all set to launch its new video game and a website for games shortly. According to a filing at The United States Patent and Trademark Office, AEW has filed for AEW Games which is in line with the company’s vision of creating a seamless experience for its users who want to enjoy their program on their favourite playing platform. Formed on the 1st of January in 2019 All Elite Wrestling sent shockwaves when the first show aired on TV and Chris Jericho joined the company during the formal announcement rally. It was a big moment, and the company has become a credible opponent for the Wrestling Juggernaut.
WWE has been at the helm of everything in the wrestling business, but the Tony Khan venture has diverted fans since its inception. A lot of superstars have joined the new company in the span of a year and a half. The quality of content has kept the fans entertained, and they want to play their favourite superstar from the company on their favourite Xbox and Playstation. Cody Rhodes and team are working hard to make it a reality, and it seems like the day maybe sooner than later.
The news broke last month that AEW has filed for a trademark for their General Manager game mode which will be available to play on mobile devices. The company is ensuring that every aspect of gaming is covered, and so the up and coming company has filed for a gaming website and a video game software which has the fans excited.
It would be nice to see how the company takes this forward because we know that WWE’s 2K20 released last year and 2K21 will come to the members of the WWE Universe in October of next year. With this time at hand, we may see a paradigm shift if AEW comes up with a game that can be played on all platforms and at ease.
