AEW Rumors: The outlook for Pac’s return to television
AEW fans were excited to see Pac on their screens in a vignette this Wednesday before Full Gear, but when will he be there to wrestle?
There’s a lot of buzz around the AEW product heading into the Full Gear Pay Per View, which features huge title matches.
Eddie Kingston vs. Jon Moxley feels like the biggest match in wrestling, Darby Allin has a chance to finally upset Cody Rhodes, Nyla Rose and Hikaru Shida are amazing rivals, and FTR and the Young Bucks is the biggest tag match of the year. And let’s not forget, Hangman Page and Kenny Omega could steal the show in their AEW World Title Tournament Finals match to determine either Moxley’s or Kingston’s opponent.
But there’s also excitement around a name not booked for the show.
Pac didn’t wrestle on Dynamite and didn’t truly return to the show, but his presence was felt in the form of a vignette teasing his actual return.
AEW has a plan for when Pac would return to the show on a regular basis
One of the best wrestlers on this planet, Pac made a name for himself in Dragon Gate, as an NXT Champion, and as the “King of the Cruiserweights”.
According to the Wrestling Observer News’ Dave Meltzer, via EWrestlingNews.com’s Andrew Ravens, the issue with Pac’s return isn’t if he can come to the United States but the quarantine periods he would have to go when returning to the United Kingdom.
But Meltzer has an important, positive update. He says that AEW has a plan for when he would return on a full-time basis.
Wrestling fans can’t wait to see Pac wrestle bangers week-in and week-out, but they only want that when it’s feasible. The pandemic has hit AEW hard, since they have so many talented wrestlers around the world, especially in the Women’s Division, who haven’t been able to work on the show.
