Kenny Omega and Don Callis have set the wrestling world on fire with Callis’ declaration following AEW Dynamite on TNT.

It was reported earlier yesterday that Kenny Omega was not present for the final IMPACT Wrestling tapings of 2020 and that instead he and IMPACT EVP Don Callis would be filming a promo that would be added into this week’s IMPACT Wrestling episode on AXS TV.

It was also believed at that time that Kenny Omega may continue to appear on IMPACT programs moving into 2021. However, according to a new report from, it seems that AEW and IMPACT’s working relationship may be a much more surface level affair than we, the collective wrestling fandom, had hoped.

It has been reported that Kenny Omega’s appearance on IMPACT is considered a personal favor to his long time family friend Don Callis. In return, it is believed that Kenny’s former stablemates Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson will make a one-time appearance on AEW television to face a team that has not yet been named. Although facing The Young Bucks who played a large role in expelling both themselves and AJ Styles from the Bullet Club would make the most sense

It is also believed that there are no current plans to expand the relationship between the two companies. Reportedly while Tony Khan was a fan of the angle and signed off on it going forward a one-off appearance was all that was approved.

Also reported by WrestlingINC it appears that Don Callis’ contract with IMPACT Wrestling is set to expire as early as next month and, assuming that he does not resign with the promotion, he could be coming to AEW full time to operate as Omega’s manager. A role that AEW has revived in 2020 showing that while he is the gold standard, Paul Heyman is not the only living person with skill in this particular arena bringing in legends like Jake The Snake Roberts, TAZ, Tully Blanchard, and Arn Anderson to fulfill managerial roles on screen and producer roles behind the scenes.
