One of the biggest challenges that each wrestling promotion had to overcome in 2020 was not only ensuring to air weekly television shows and pay-per-views safely among COVID-19 restrictions but also perform in front of crowd-less arenas.

No roar of the crowds and pops not only affected talent and how they feed off the fans while on the mic and ring, but having no fans in attendance also affected viewers watching from home. It just didn’t feel the same for a long time; in many ways, it still doesn’t.

With that said, 2020 plugged on, and below are some of the top moments in wrestling that really should’ve had a live crowd reaction. It was hard to narrow it down to just 10, as there were plenty of moments that deserved to be on this list.

10. Sting Confirms He’s All Elite

At the age of 61, no one was expecting to see Sting return to a wrestling ring, especially since he had announced his retirement 5 years prior after a short run with the WWE. Therefore, the December 2nd edition of AEW Dynamite truly was something fans weren’t expecting. Could you imagine the pop Sting would’ve received if he were in front of a live crowd? It was a great moment that occurred at the end of the year, and certainly a highlight of 2020.
