4. Damian Priest
2020 has been a good year for Damian Priest in NXT. Priest started out the year in a feud against Finn Balor that led to bigger things for him. Triple H was pleased by Damian’s showing at NXT TakeOver: In Your House calling it a star-making performance. He would be turned face soon after and has become one of the most beloved stars on the roster.
The biggest moment of his year came at NXT TakeOver: XXX, where he won a five-man ladder match to become the NXT North American Champion. Since then, Priest has continued to show his worth to the brand. He has been tremendous in his feud against Johnny Gargano. To finish off the year, Karrion Kross seems to be next in line for Priest.
This could end up being the perfect way to send Damian Priest off to the main roster. Keith Lee had his last match in NXT against Kross and Damian Priest could be the next to follow in his steps. If Damian is called up to the main roster, I believe SmackDown would be the best brand for him moving forward. Guard your island tightly, Roman. The archer may be ready to take his shot.
3. Bianca Belair
As the vignette for her said, Bianca Belair truly is the “EST” of the WWE. She was a stand-out during her time in NXT and we are just waiting for her to get her opportunity to shine. Bianca started off the year by being a surprise entrant in the 2020 Royal Rumble match. She started the match off at number 2 and last over half an hour before being eliminated by eventual winner Charlotte Flair.
Since then, Bianca has been called up to the main roster and has shown her worth on both Raw and SmackDown. She was drafted to SmackDown in the recent WWE Draft. She quickly impressed in the annual women’s Survivor Series match. I am not the first to say it and I am sure that I won’t be the last, Bianca Belair is going to be a star.
In a recent interview, WWE and TNA Hall of Famer Bully Ray compared Belair to former Intercontinental Champion Mr. Perfect. She is going to be money if you allow her to continue to be the “EST.” She can be the bEST thing going if she is given the opportunity. In 2021, we are expecting to see Bianca finally hold some gold.
