The young wrestling star from England has signed with the WWE and will join the NXT UK brand.

WWE added yet another big name to it is growing list of acquisitions in 2021. This time it was Millie McKenzie who has been signed and will be added to the NXT UK brand. News broke early Tuesday morning of the signing.

At 20-years old, McKenzie is a part of the blossoming youth movement in European wrestling. The Coventry, England native already has more than four years of experience under her belt and multiple title reigns on her resume at such a young age. Fans may remember her time working with Pete Dunne before the “Brusierweight” was moved to WWE in 2016.

McKenzie also played a vital part in the early Speaking Out movement that continues to push for change in professional wrestling. She used her voice to bring light to abuse at the hands of Travis Banks, who was then on the WWE roster. Banks and others were eventually released in June of 2020.

Fans should expect to see McKenzie catapulted to the top of the women’s division in NXT UK. The brand already has the talented Kay Lee Ray as champion, enjoying a 500-plus day reign with the title. They have also recently brought in the veteran, Meiko Satomura, and adding McKenzie to that list further strengthens that division.

WWE has been on a hiring spree in the last few weeks, adding names like Taya Valkyrie, Eli Drake, Christian Casanova, and others. Coming off an excellent debut run by MSK, who was signed late last year, it looks like the biggest promotion in the industry is making moves to restock the shelves with young talent that can perform at a high level.
