WWE: Keith Lee pulled from Elimination Chamber
News broke midday Sunday that Keith Lee has been removed from the WWE Network special.
A major, unscheduled change has hit WWE Elimination Chamber as Keith Lee has been removed from the Triple-Threat match for the United States title.
According to PWI Insider, Lee was removed from the match after the information was confirmed with multiple sources. Mike Johnson’s report also points out that Lee’s removal from the match is due to an undisclosed injury.
Bobby Lashley and Matt Riddle are still scheduled for a triple threat match during the WWE Network special. It was announced that the WWE will hold a Battle Royale during the preshow to determine who the third individual for this match will be.
Lee was backstage at Monday Night Raw last week but was not used on camera. He was not backstage for the PPV. Lee’s last match was back in early February when he defeated Riddle via pinfall after nearly eight minutes of action. Since then, he was removed from television for Covid-19 quarantine protocols.
WWE Elimination Chamber is set for Sunday, February 21, featuring multiple chamber matches surrounding storylines for both the WWE Championship and Universal titles.
