In 2020 the entire world went through a pandemic, but wrestling kept going without any fans. AEW was able to rack up some impressive Pay-Per-Views last year that helped make the promotion must-watch television. AEW Revolution is looking like the Pay-Per-View that AEW is trying to push as being a big deal for the company. The 2021 Revolution is looking to be another huge card for AEW that will have the professional wrestling world talking. In this article, I will be discussing the five things that should happen at the Revolution Pay-Per-View.

5. Sting and Darby Allin Win Against Brian Cage and Ricky Starks.

This should be a fun match to watch because it will be Sting’s first wrestling match since leaving the WWE. This should be a quick match with Sting picking up the win over Ricky Starks, and that causing some problems in Team Taz between Cage and Stark. The relationship between Sting and Darby hasn’t been anything special yet, but hopefully, this match will help them be taken more seriously together.

4. Sammy Guevara cost MJF and Chris Jericho their championship match.

Chris Jericho and MJF took things to the next level when they attacked and bloodied the Young Bucks father. This was the only time in the rivalry where things cross the line. I don’t see the Bucks dropping the titles to MJF and Jericho this week because there’s a bigger storyline here, and that’s Sammy Guevara getting involved and costing MJF the match. This match should be used to further the Sammy Guevara and MJF storyline.

3. Lance Archer wins the Face of Revolution Ladder Match.

Lance Archer has been getting booked well in AEW lately, and his build to the top should continue with a win at the AEW revolution. The Lance Archer should be the monster giant we all know he can be. He needs to go back to being that monster heel and challenge Darby for the TNT championship.

2. AEW Women’s World Title Match is treated as the main event match.

Hikaru Shida is scheduled to face the winner of the eliminator tournament, which as the time of this article, hasn’t been determined yet. It would be smart for AEW to keep the title on Shida regardless of who wins the tournament. Now is the time for AEW to put their women’s division at the top by having their reigning champ defend her championship in a strong winning effort. There is a lot of talented women wrestlers in AEW, and it is time to start booking the division strong.

1.Kenny Omega Wins Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch

From the very first AEW Pay-Per-View in May of 2019, Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega have been at each other’s throats to prove who the best wrestler was in the world.  Jon Moxley has been on a mission to get back at Kenny and to win his world title back. This is one of the best rivalries in professional wrestling today. This match should be one of the most brutal hardcore matches we’ve seen on a mainstream level in years. The match promises to be a level of violence that will surely go down in the professional history books.

When the Lights out match happened, people were complaining about the barbed wire, glass, and thumbtacks being brought out in a match because of it not being seen on Pay-Per-View in so long. I’m expecting this match to leave wrestling fans and the wrestling critics writing articles about how dangerous matches like this is for wrestlers. This will be a must-watch the match that Kenny should win because he needs to keep the belt to push the Impact wrestling and AEW storyline that is slowly building up.
