Looks like WWE SmackDown is welcoming a new roster member. Mia Yim, formerly known as RECOKONING of RETRIBUTION has been moved over to the blue brand. Mike Johnson of PWI Insider broke the news on Monday morning of the roster shift.

Yim is a big fan favorite in women’s wrestling. Her use since being brought up to the main roster is yet another example of how the promotion struggles to leverage its deep roster of talent. Mia Yim is currently still listed on the Raw brand within the WWE website under the name she had in the failed stable.

Currently, the SmackDown portion of the WWE roster only features eight women:  Tamina, Sasha Banks, Ruby Riott, Natalya, Liv Morgan, Carmella, Bayley, and current SmackDown Women’s champion, Bianca Belair.

Yim’s last match occurred back in December when she was defeated by Nikki Cross on WWE Main Event in less than five minutes. While she never obtained gold in NXT, she had a solid run in that brand where she had big matches against Charlotte Flair, Candice LeRae, Xia Li, and many others.

She is competed with and found success in many other promotions as well. For example, she held the TNA Knockouts title back in 2016, while also earning titles in SHINE and DDT.
