Wrestling Rumor Roundup: Aleister Black moving to Raw, Tamina’s Push and more
By Amit Shukla
Jinder Mahal on his way to a push
The Modern-Day Maharaja returned after a hiatus as he suffered an injury and was recuperating. It looks like the former WWE Champion has new henchmen by his side, as The Bollywood Boyz were nowhere during the former champion’s return match and segment. His new members are called Shanky and Veer, and they were the recruits to the WWE Performance Centre as they qualified in the WWE tryouts in India.
The rumor mill states that Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre, the former 3MB group members, will bring the house down with their performance between the ropes. It would help raise Jinder’s stature as a performer and could lead to a championship opportunity down the line. If this is true, then it is a good thing. The bigger question remains that is this done to recapture the Indian market. India is one of the largest business areas for the company. [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]
Aleister Black may move to Monday Nights
Aleister Black’s vignette was missing from last week’s SmackDown, and it prompted the idea that this could be due to a change of plan. As reported earlier by us, WWE couldn’t place his segment during the show’ running minutes as the company didn’t have space.
If that was upsetting, here’s a piece of news to cheer you up. WrestleVotes recently tweeted that the WWE plans to push Damien Priest and bring The Striking Man From Amsterdam to Monday Nights. It looks promising for the superstar that missed six months of his career as he was written off the tv with no appropriate reason. We would have to see if it becomes a reality, or is it just a marketing trick to help Raw with its ratings. [H/T: WrestleVotes]
