Adam “Hangman” Page vs. Brian Cage

Speaking of the 1st two Casino winners, they will battle here in Jacksonville. In surprising and dominant fashion, Brian Cage was able to defeat Hangman Page one month ago on an AEW Dynamite episode. While there was a pre-match attack on Page prior to the bell ringing for the official start of the match, he was able to regain his bearings and mount a small comeback.

It was to no avail as ‘The Machine’ Brian Cage would knock Hangman out of the No. 1 contender spot for the AEW world championship. Page will be looking for revenge in the rematch at Double Or Nothing.

The attack and the shocking result of this contest were much needed in my opinion. There is no conflict in the story of Hangman Page and his quest to get out of the shadow of ‘The Elite’ and more specifically, Kenny Omega.

This also was huge for Cage and Team Taz, who hasn’t won a significant match on Dynamite or PPV since last year’s Double Or Nothing. While Cage won last month, Hangman Page will rebound here and restart his ascension up the AEW rankings once again.

Prediction: Hangman Page def. Brian Cage

Cody Rhodes vs. Anthony Ogogo

The buildup to this matchup has been wonky. Over the last two months, QT Marshall turned on his “former” best friend and took a few of his ‘Factory’ students with him to form a new faction.

The feud has been somewhat of an afterthought in the hierarchy of AEW storylines. On the positive side, younger talent like Anthony Ogogo get a spotlight match on pay per view. The other end of the spectrum brings Cody Rhodes and his roundabout promo which was supposed to bring a “USA vs Britain” dynamic.  The presentation fell a little flat.

Anthony Ogogo should be the one to garner the victory here. He’s improving match by match and has shown some flashes of brilliance on the microphone in the process. Yet with the country vs country mantra thrown in and Cody calling himself the “American Dream” for one night only, do you really think he’s losing on Sunday night?

Prediction: Cody Rhodes def. Anthony Ogogo
