Tag team match: Sting and Darby Allin vs Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky

One thing is for sure, Darby Allin possesses more than nine lives. All of the daredevil spots and stunts he pulls off are incredible to witness. Having recently lost the AEW TNT championship to Miro, Allin will team up with his mentor Sting to square off against two men who have been thorns in their sides over the last month.

Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky formed a bond in mid-March after Sky beat up Darby following an unsuccessful attempt to win the AEW TNT title. Sky and Page have jumped Sting and Allin at nearly every turn.

They proceeded to throw Darby down a flight of stairs the week after beating up Sting the week before. Then turning their attention to the two men once again immediately after Darby lost the TNT championship. Being transparent, Page and Sky need this victory a lot more than their counterparts do in this feud.

There will be no worse for the wear if Darby Allin and Sting lose this match. They could even go their separate ways after this bout as being associated with Sting has elevated Allin to main event status. I’m going with the mild upset here.

Prediction: Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky def. Sting and Darby Allin

AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: The Young Bucks vs. Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston

What’s not to love about this buildup, feud, and match itself? We have The Young Bucks as AEW World Tag Team champions. Cocky, arrogant, smarmy heels who can antagonize opponents and audiences at the drop of a hat.

You have a newly formed team who are being presented as best of friends. Let’s face it, Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston fit like peanut butter and jelly. Great enemies and friends, Kingston ran to Moxley’s aid after his world title match loss at ‘AEW Revolution’ to Kenny Omega.

Since then, Moxley and Kingston have been arguably the most entertaining duo to watch in all of pro wrestling. The Young Bucks can also stake the same claim with their usual match quality and newfound heel antics. The segments between these 4 men have been tremendous and last week’s shoe theft at the hands of Eddie Kingston was worth its weight in gold.

This bout is a true coin flip. We could see new tag team champions to freshen up the top of the division. We could see the Young Bucks retain in what will be an interesting contrast of styles between the teams.

After going back and forth for awhile, I’m going to use the story of Moxley taking time off for fatherhood when the match is over. While you could have some vignette’s featuring him and Kingston as AEW World tag team champs in the wake of Mox’s absence, it wouldn’t be the same in my eyes.

You can have a rematch down the line if the feud warrants it and I’d be happy with that. Regardless, compelling entertainment is bound to happen with these men.

Prediction: The Young Bucks def. Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston to retain the AEW tag team championships
