Impact Wrestling has quietly been providing some exciting wrestling content. While fans may mostly talk about the partnership with All Elite Wrestling, they have featured several wrestlers from New Japan as well. At Impact Slammiversary there were many surprise appearances but the appearance of Jay White will be the most talked-about moment of the show.

In the main event of the evening, Kenny Omega defeated Sami Callihan in a brutal match for the Impact World Championship. There was a lot to talk about from that showcase match, but when things were over it elevated to another level.

As Omega stood in the ring with the Good Brothers, who won the Impact Tag Team titles earlier in the night, none other than Jay White would walk down to the ring, carrying the Never Openweight Championship with him. The crowd erupted at White’s appearance as he has been one of the most requested names to take part in the partnership between Impact and NJPW. He joined Omega, Doc Gallows, and Karl Anderson in the ring. One side would hold up the Too-Sweet hand signal, but before White could reciprocate the feed was cut.

That ending may be a bit odd for some, but this is going to be one of the most talked-about endings in professional wrestling this week. White is a former IWGP Heavyweight champion, and one of the best talents in the industry. All while only 28-years of age. As Omega puts on an excellent 2021 campaign as the belt collector, some wondered whether White would be one of the men to face him in the future. This ending will put some fuel on that growing fire.

Impact Slammiversary was all about big surprises. Thunder Rosa, Mickie James, Chelsea Green, and No Way Jose were all there, but the biggest moment of the night came when Jay White stood with the Bullet Club in the middle of the ring.
