Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Podcast is reporting that The Rock is scheduled to appear at this year’s Survivor Series. The annual November pay-per-view event is also being reported to be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Zarian claims a source has advised him “The Great One” will indeed be in the house for the event. It has been speculated for some time that The Rock will challenge Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Survivor Series will likely be the place where the feud begins. The event would also mark the 25th anniversary of The Rock debuting at Survivor Series 1996 as Rocky Maivia.

The Rock last appeared for WWE at SmackDown’s 20th Anniversary episode in 2019 in a segment with Becky Lynch and Baron Corbin. He hasn’t wrestled since facing Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32, beating him in six seconds.

“The Great One” finally coming home for one more match?

It has been rumoured for a while now, especially with the current storyline ongoing with Roman Reigns and his bloodline, that the end game would be a match with “The Great One”. It is looking likely that it will be set up at Survivor Series this November, ahead of the blockbuster match at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas.

The interesting part of this is will The Rock come back to put over Reigns, or will he end the reign of the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief. It leaves a lot of possibilities on the table.
