All Elite Wrestling brought in several big signings over the weekend, but there was an addition to the roster on Wednesday that should be marked as one to watch. Lee Moriarty was added to the roster and officially announced as a member of AEW.

A Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native, Moriarty will not need an introduction to fans of indie wrestling. Throughout his five-year career, he’s performed across some of the most important organizations around such as GCW, MLW, Beyond, Warrior Wrestling, and more. He’s held championships in IWTV and PWX during his independent run.

Fans were long clamoring for AEW to give Moriarty a look and that led to his recent inclusion on AEW Dark, where he took on the likes of Joey Janela and Dante Martin. Being on those platforms helped introduce him to a fanbase that may not be familiar with his talent, but it was clear that he had a lot to offer the promotion.

“Lee, you do tremendous work. I see you getting better and better every week,” Tony Khan said at the Wednesday taping of Dynamite before the televised show. “Would you like to sign with AEW” before handing him a contract.

This is a big addition to AEW as the promotion continues to bring in young talent that can greatly learn from the veterans across the roster. Moriarty fits perfectly into that mold and fans should be prepared to see more of this talented individual.
