Injuries are all too commonplace in professional wrestling, forcing talented performers to the sideline. Zoey Stark took to social media on Tuesday to reveal that she’s going to be out of action due to an injury to her ACL and meniscus.

“Sadly, I tore my ACL/Meniscus due to Toxic’s attack,” Stark posted on Twitter. “Here’s the bad news for the ‘champs.’ Surgery went great and I’m already rehabbing. I’ll be back better and stronger with three targets in mind. Until then Io Shirai, Kacy Catanzaro, and Kayden Carter kick their ass tonight!”

Stark is referring to the filmed attack that was shot last Tuesday to present the legitimate injury. She was attacked by the members of Toxic Attraction, current NXT Women’s Champion, Mandy Rose, and NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions, Gigi Dolin, and Jacey Jayne.

It is unknown how long Stark will be out of action.

Stark last competed at NXT Halloween Havoc on October 26, where she and Shirai lost the tag titles to Dolin and Jayne in a Triple Threat Scareway to Hell Ladder Match. Persia Pirotta and Indi Hartwell were also a part of that match.

Stark, 27, joined NXT in January of this year, making her debut as a part of the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, teaming with Marina Shafir. From there she was given a decent push taking on the likes of Dakota Kai, Toni Storm, Raquel Gonzalez, and her eventual partner, Shirai.
