On December 17 at the Korakuen Hall (the Madison Square Garden of Japan), Michinoku Pro will present their biggest show of the year.

Michinoku Pro comes to the Korakuen Hall annually in the month of December, and this event is always very successful. In fact, Michinoku Pro’s December 2019 event at the Korakuen Hall was a standing-room-only sellout with an attendance of 1,890, the highest reported attendance at the Korakuen Hall to date for a pro-wrestling event since April 2015.

The main event will be the 16th edition of “Space War”, Michinoku Pro’s annual year-end special match which is filled with action, drama, comedy, and cosplay! This year’s Space War will involve The Great Sasuke, Brahman Shu, Brahman Kei, and many more!

In other action, MUSASHI, Koji Kawamura, and  Yasutaka Oosera will go against Rui Hyugaji, Rasse, and Rekka. MUSASHI and Hyugaji will definitely have their sets set on each other, as Hyugaji is the man who MUSASHI defeated for the  Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Championship, ending Hyugaji’s reign as the longest-reigning Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion (553 days) of all time.

In tag team action that will definitely not disappoint, Jinsei Shinzaki and Dick Togo will face Manabu and Ken45. There will be extensive tag team experience involved in this match, as Shinzaki is the current and three-time Tohoku Tag Team Champion, and Togo, Manabu, and Ken45 are all former Tohoku Tag Team Champions. Also, both Shinzaki and Ken45 have held the UWA World Tag Team Championship, a championship with an impressive history that is currently held by Michinoku Pro’s GAINA and Taro Nohashi.

At the December 2020 and June 2021 Michinoku Pro events in Tokyo, legend and AEW star Emi Sakura and wrestlers from her Gatoh Move promotion made appearances to show all of the fans in attendance the fast action, comedy, surprises, and high-flying maneuvers that are trademarks of Gatoh Move matches. Sakura has been wrestling for AEW full-time since August, but wrestlers from her promotion will once be appearing at a Michinoku Pro event, this time at Michinoku Pro’s biggest event of 2021.

Also, two members of the new generation of Michinoku Pro will compete in singles again, as Ayumu Gunji will face Yasuyoshi Ogasawara. This will be a good opportunity for both men to show why they think they should be moved up the ladder of the Michinoku Pro singles division.

For those of you who will be in Japan on December 17, tickets are currently on sale for this event.
