Former WWE RAW Women’s Champion, Ronda Rousey, has recently provided an update on her WWE status. Rousey took to Facebook Live to answer questions from fans.

“The Baddest Woman on the Planet” has not been seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 35. She faced Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in the winner-take-all main event with the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Title’s on the line. The match was won by Becky Lynch, who pinned Ronda to become Becky 2 Belts.

When asked about her contract status with Vince McMahon’s company, Ronda responded “I technically — I don’t think I am. But who knows? That’s a question for the lawyers.” It was reported that Rousey’s contract had expired in April 2021, but whether that has been extended or if a new deal was struck recently remains to be seen.

A potential return was also discussed on the Facebook Live stream with Rousey saying “I don’t know. When I feel like it. Eventually, when I feel like. I don’t know.”

Despite the unclear answers, the former UFC star did confirm that she is in regular contact with WWE’s Chief Brand Officer, Stephanie McMahon “I actually keep in touch with Steph [McMahon] because she’s sweet and we send each other baby pictures. I haven’t talked to Triple H since before he had his — he had like heart surgery or something. Hope he’s doing all right.” (h/t Post Wrestling)

Ronda Rousey recently gave birth to her daughter, La’akea, in September 2021.

Ronda Rousey not giving anything away

In true WWE fashion, Ronda Rousey was not one for giving anything away in regards to her contract status or if she will ever return to the squared circle. There is hope that someday she will return, as she brought many eyes on WWE during her tenure. She is also put in the work to make sure that she was considered a part of the company. If not this year’s WrestleMania which will likely come to soon, maybe next year we will see her return to the ring in Los Angeles.
