WWE has released various superstars since the start of the global pandemic. These superstars range from Jeff Hardy to Rusev. Recently, individuals like Johnny Gargano and Adam Cole have left WWE when their deals came to an end. Kevin Owens is another individual whose contract is potentially coming to an end and WWE needs to take the steps necessary to keep him on the roster.

Multiple outlets have reported that Owens’s contract is slated to end in early 2022. He started his career in the WWE in NXT, eventually becoming the NXT Champion. He continued to make an impact when Owens made his main roster debut during an angle with John Cena. The moment left a lasting impression, and now he may be on his way out.

WWE should do all it can to keep Owens on the roster. Owens possesses the mic skills that can sell a segment. Working alongside Chris Jericho helped boost his status with the WWE Universe. It enhanced his mic and in-ring skills. With the clock on his WWE career ticking, one would have to see if he was to join AEW and join one of those groups.

Putting on great matches comes naturally for Owens. Owens knows how to build a feud, cut a promo and uplift a superstar’s career. It is his skill that made many storylines memorable. Will it all come to a close in January?

While Owens is nowhere in an age or a time of his career where he needs to retire, but should he decide to take that step, his role as a coach at the performance center will be an asset for the WWE. He can train and prepare the new generation of WWE superstars who want to perform at the elite level.

There are a plethora of superstars who are ready to show their skill set at the highest level. Owens can help them reshape their approach and reform their careers. He knows how to impress the upper management, and his skills can prove invaluably supportive to the up-and-coming superstars. Losing him without utilizing his skills will be a letdown by the WWE.

Vince and Co. have been in hot water for releasing WWE superstars and letting the opportunities slip away. Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, and Bryan Danielson are some names that recently left the promotion and joined the newly started company. Will Kevin Owens be the next in line to join them at their rival company, or will it be withdrawn due to some quality opportunity offered by the WWE? Only time has the answer.
