WWE Royal Rumble 2022! This Nick Khan production is only one week away from Christmas this Saturday. Although there are plenty of contrived storylines being built, there are some potential show-stealing matches on this card that will be thrilling to watch. The following will provide predictions for the eight matches that are purportedly scheduled. Without further ado, here are the full match card predictions for WWE Royal Rumble 2022.

WWE Royal Rumble 2022 will take place on January 29, 2022, at 8 p.m. E.S.T., live on the WWE Network. Here are the full match card predictions.

Big E (c) vs. Seth Rollins [WWE Championship]

Assuming Big E retains his WWE Title in his scheduled fatal four way match with Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and Bobby Lashley at Day 1, Rollins still has a claim for a one on one title match against E because he won a number one contender’s ladder match against Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, and Rey Mysterio on the October 25, 2021 episode of WWE Raw. E will retain the WWE Title in what should be a riveting storyline with Rollins due to their NXT history. Despite his poorly booked run, Big E needs to walk into Mania as WWE Champ to solidify his first world title reign.

WWE might actually book Big E (c) vs. Goldberg for the WWE Title at WrestleMania because that is unfortunately Big E’s dream match. That should be a ’30 min classic.’ No question.

Prediction: Big E

Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bianca Belair [Raw Women’s Championship]

Assuming Becky Lynch retains her Raw Women’s Title in her scheduled title match with Liv Morgan at Day 1, Bianca Belair still has a claim for a one on one title rematch against Lynch because she was cheated in her title match with Lynch on the November 1, 2021 episode of WWE Raw and has regained ample momentum for another title shot after defeating DouDrop three times in three consecutive weeks. Even though Belair should get her comeuppance from that SummerSlam fiasco, Lynch will still retain the Raw Women’s Title

No one actually gets comeuppance against the four horsewomen after a bad booking decision in WWE. Just ask Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair. Same energy.

Prediction: Becky Lynch

Roman Reigns (c) vs. Drew McIntyre [Universal Championship]

Assuming Roman Reigns retains his Universal Title in his scheduled title match with Brock Lesnar at Day 1, Drew McIntyre will have a claim for a one on one title match against Reigns because he is the only full-time main eventer on WWE SmackDown with sufficient momentum for a title opportunity, especially after his inevitable victory against Madcap Moss at Day 1. Also, it was recently rumored that Roman Reigns (c) vs. Drew McIntyre will be the main event of the WWE Royal Rumble 2022. Drew McIntyre has never defeated Reigns, and it won’t change here.

Reigns will retain the Universal Title in a way that will protect McIntyre in defeat  to warrant a rematch of sorts at Mania. Nobody else is left for Roman, so WWE has to stretch this somehow.

Prediction: Roman Reigns

Women’s Royal Rumble [Over The Top Rope Battle Royal]

The winner of the Royal Rumble should challenge the superior champion for a WrestleMania title match. As indicated by the WWE Survivor Series 2021 results, Becky Lynch defeated Charlotte in their champion vs. champion match, which solidified Lynch as the superior champion. Henceforth, the winner of the Rumble should challenge Lynch for the title. That narrows down the women’s rumble winner to either a free agent or a superstar from Raw. Since Belair will be occupied with Lynch, Liv Morgan will win the first Rumble in her career.

Bayley is a major free agent possibility if she returns fro injury in time for the Rumble. However, Morgan has gotten quite over with the crowd recently and should continue her story with Lynch.

Prediction: Liv Morgan

Men’s Royal Rumble [Over The Top Rope Battle Royal]

The winner of the Royal Rumble should challenge the superior champion for a WrestleMania title match. As indicated by the WWE Survivor Series 2021 results, Roman Reigns defeated Big E in their champion vs. champion match, which solidified Reigns as the superior champion. Henceforth, the winner of the Rumble should challenge Reigns for the title. That narrows down the men’s rumble winner to either a free agent or a superstar from SmackDown. Since McIntyre will be occupied with Reigns, Brock Lesnar will win the second Rumble in his career.

According to recent reports and booking decisions, the WWE has made it clear that Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Drew McIntyre for the Universal Championship is the plan for Mania 38.

Prediction: Brock Lesnar
