As the release date for WWE 2K22 arrives, the anticipation builds for the new and updated roster that will be released for the game. A lot of the roster already got announced, but there are still some questions remaining. Here are the top four choices, on wrestlers who should definitely be in the game.

4. Gunther

Topping the list is Gunther.  Terrible name, I know. However, the fact still remains, Gunther has to be one of the best wrestlers on NXT. Gunther made his debut in 2019 in the NXT UK confronting the NXT UK Champion, Pete Dunne.

At NXT Takeover: New York in 2019, Gunther won the NXT UK Championship from Pete Dunne. Gunther went on to have the longest reign with the championship in history. His reign lasted 870 days and came to an end when Ilja Dragonuv was able to conquer the beast at NXT TakeOver: 36.

Gunther, also the leader of Imperium, is a solid star all around. Bringing him into the game would make many fans happy and appeal to the United Kingdom and European fanbase. Gunther is a star and he should be in WWE 2K22.

3. Grayson Waller

Grayson Waller is someone who has to be pretty high on this list. Waller has been absolutely killing it in NXT 2.0. Waller made his debut on June 11, 2021, on an episode of 205 Live. However, it wasn’t until after that that Waller would become arguably one of the biggest heels in NXT.

When NXT legend, Johnny Gargano gave his famous farewell speech and left the company, Waller attacked Gargano from behind. This cemented his legacy as being one of the top heels NXT has to offer. Waller has truly taken his ball and ran with it, becoming one of the most exciting stars on the program.

Waller should be added to WWE 2K22. Waller is a beast in the ring, has an incredible move-set and a lot of fans would love to use him while they play. The future is extremely bright for this young star.

2. Carmelo Hayes

Carmelo Hayes is one of the biggest stars on NXT 2.0. Hayes made his debut on the June 1st episode of NXT. He answered Kushida’s open challenge for the Cruiserweight Championship. Hayes was defeated but had an incredibly strong showing.

Hayes went on to win the NXT Breakout Tournament, defeating Odyssey Jones in the finals. On October 12th, 2021, Hayes cashed in his Breakout Tournament contract against Isaiah “Swerve” Scott. Hayes pinned Scott to become the new NXT North American Champion.

Since then, Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams have become two massive heels on the NXT roster. Hayes looks unstoppable in the ring and the sky is the limit for him. Adding Hayes to the game would make a ton of fans happy and would make a lot of sense since he is arguably the second-best star on the show, behind one man.

1. Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker is that man. Breakker made his debut in NXT on  September 14th, 2021. Breakker made quick work of his opponent, LA Knight. He then immediately got thrown into the NXT Championship picture with Tommaso Ciampa.

Breakker, on January 4th, 2022, on New Year’s Evil would finally go on to win the NXT Championship from Tommaso Ciampa. Breakker put what many assumed was the final nail in the coffin of NXT “Black and Gold.” To say Breakker is the guy now is an understatement.

Next. Takeaways from SmackDown on February 26. dark

Breakker is the next big thing on NXT 2.0. The second-generation professional wrestler has it all. He has a ton of charisma, a ton of talent in the ring, and WWE struck gold when they brought him in. Breakker is going to be the guy for years to come in the WWE and I wouldn’t be shocked if he main events WrestleMania against Roman Reigns sooner than later.
