When deciding who has been the most successful member of The Shield, look no further than the man who ended the group: Seth Rollins.

Amid a feud with The Authority, Rollins turned his back on his partners Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose by viciously attacking the two of them. This attack streamlined him into the spotlight and demonstrated his dominance over the other two.

The WWE Universe chanted “he sold out.” Rollins did anything but that. He saw an opportunity to become a predominant star and seized it.

He was the first of the trio to win a world title, and he did so on the biggest stage in the most dramatic way. He cashed in Money in the Bank during the WrestleMania 31 main event to make it a triple threat with Reigns and Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Rollins entered the match, hit a curb stomp on both competitors, pinned his former friend, and sprinted up the ramp with the title. Talk about a WrestleMania moment!

He is the only man to cash in the Money in the Bank contract in the main event at WrestleMania.

Before hitting the big time in WWE, he was the inaugural NXT champion back in 2012.

Staying with breaking in new titles, Rollins was in the match for the initial Universal Championship, which he lost to Finn Balor at SummerSlam in 2016.

The four-time world champion’s character has developed multiple times throughout his career. After being the forefront member of the Authority, he became the Beast Slayer when he defeated Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 35. Turning to a more psychological character, he became the Monday/Friday Night Messiah. This persona harkened a similar arc to that of CM Punk.

Most recently, Rollins added the word “Freakin” to his name. This new persona further illustrates his creativeness, and the word “freakin” says it all. Rollins is that good to include the expletive substitute in his name.
