Brock Lesnar: Three feuds to keep The Beast active in the WWE
The WWE Championship is off Brock Lesnar and firmly in the grasp of The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. Lesnar and Reigns have battled each other for supremacy atop the WWE for years. Now, it seems like the fight has settled, and it would be best for the promotion to not go back to the rivalry for some time. However, that does not mean that Lesnar should be gone from WWE television completely. There are plenty of options to create new and intriguing feuds for Lesnar that help the entire roster.
Gunther
Gunther, better known as WALTER, is a force waiting to be unleashed on the main roster. He made his debut on SmackDown with an impressive squash match. It seems like a matter of time before he’s thrust to the top of the roster, as an eventual opponent for Roman Reigns. But if that is not the case at this time, it would be interesting to see a feud between Gunther and Brock Lesnar.
For hardcore fans, the idea of Gunther and Lesnar laying into each other is a dream match. For years, he terrorized professional wrestling on the independent scene. When he was brought over to WWE many wondered if he would get the spotlight that he deserved. Even though Gunther enjoyed an 800+ day run as WWE NXT UK Champion, he was never considered a potential draw. Moving him over the NXT, along with his two matches with Ilja Dragunov helped, but it’s this main roster run that is going to be the defining stage for him.
Gunther versus Lesnar as a major match would be a fun, hard-hitting match that would be sure to deliver.
Bron Breakker
It’s time for WWE to begin making new stars and there’s a bright one already in their grasp. WWE NXT champion, Bron Breakker has everything that WWE covets when creating main-event attractions. Instead of him being stuck amid a feud with Joe Gacy, Breakker should be on the main roster, getting reps and time in the ring with some of the best performers available in WWE. With the proper booking, a battle between Lesnar and Breakker would be a huge launching pad for the future star.
Many are tagging Breakker as the man to end Roman Reigns’ time atop the WWE. That may be the case, as he’s been built as a credible threat to date. That feeling would grow immensely if Breakker was to defeat Lesnar, putting him on a direct path to the champion.
Sheamus
Sheamus has been on a run. Ever since his return from what were career-threatening injuries, Sheamus has been one of the most consistent performers on the roster. His series of matches with Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle during the COVID-19 pandemic were some of the best matches throughout all the WWE. He deserves an opportunity to stand in the spotlight one last time and putting him against Brock Lesnar in a big match would be a fantastic way to appreciate him for his contributions to the promotion throughout the years.
