WWE certainly has a lot of characters across the roster. There’s everyone from the brooding Edge to the bubbly Cora Jade, and some in between that can’t quite be placed. Yet, there’s one individual that the WWE has yet to unleash that can turn the tide as WWE “battles” against its competitors. That may be hyperbole, but the point remains that Malcolm Bivens is a huge personality that fits right in with WWE’s element of sports entertainment.

Bivens has been with the WWE since 2019, and it’s surprising (and not at the same time considering it’s the WWE) that the promotion hasn’t found more to do with him. His abilities on the microphone are matched by very few in the company.

To date, he’s been matched with the likes of Babatunde, the now Commander Azeez, the man now known as Veer Mahaan and Saurav Gurjar, and currently Diamond Mine. Each time his task was simple, help an individual get over with the viewers, as a professional wrestler without the ability to talk may struggle to go far in this industry. Even a multiple-time champion like Roderick Strong stands to benefit with Bivens by his side.

But WWE NXT 2.0 should not be the ceiling for Bivens within the WWE. There are so many places where Bivens could be inserted that would have an impact. For example, with Corey Graves on his honeymoon, WWE dusted off Jerry Lawler for commentary. He needed less than five minutes before he was making bad, cringeworthy, and almost offensive jokes over the microphone like it was the Attitude Era all over again. Bivens would certainly run circles around Lawler in that very role.

Or what if Bivens was leading a faction on the main roster, just as he is with Diamond Mine on WWE NXT 2.0? Individuals like Ricochet, a tag team like Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin, or even a supergroup in the way that Paul Heyman works with Roman Reigns and the Usos. Bivens could fill in a role in the same fashion, helping to add something new to the main roster and break up the monotony that is rampant on those shows.

Until WWE takes the time to utilize Bivens in more ways, enjoy his facial expressions at ringside, epic one-liners in promos, and his hilarious social media presence. He’s the gift that keeps on giving with so much to give a major promotion like the WWE.
