On May 8th, WWE held their annual event, WrestleMania Backlash. The show was headlined by a massive six-man tag match between Drew McIntyre, and RK-Bro, taking on The Bloodline. The show also saw the Smackdown Women’s Championship on the line when Charlotte defended against Ronda Rousey in an “I Quit” match. Here are the top three moments of the show.

3. Ronda Rousey makes Charlotte Flair Quit

WrestleMania Backlash also featured an “I Quit” match for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. Coming off her victory at WrestleMania, Charlotte Flair puts her Smackdown Women’s Championship on the line in a WrestleMania rematch, taking on Ronda Rousey one more time.

The match was very hard-hitting and a solid match between both women. Ultimately, it saw Ronda Rousey use a chair to lock in her armbar on Charlotte Flair. This led to Charlotte screaming “I Quit” therefore making Ronda Rousey the Smackdown Women’s Champion.

Flair fought valiantly but came up just short. The end of the match saw Charlotte mocking Rousey and wishing her a “Happy Mother’s Day.” Rousey now for the first time in her career won the Smackdown Women’s Championship. Kayla Braxton announced later in the show that Charlotte has suffered a fracture in her forearm. Nonetheless, Rousey is your new Smackdown Women’s Champion.

2. Rhea Ripley Joins Judgement Day

On tonight’s show, we saw Edge take on AJ Styles in a WrestleMania rematch. The stipulation of the match tonight was that Edge’s Judgement Day partner, Damian Priest was banned from ringside. The match tonight between Edge and AJ Styles ended in controversy.

A masked man, or so we thought originally, showed up at ringside and knocked AJ Styles off the top rope. After Styles fell off the top rope, Edge locked in his crossface type of submission hold to choke Styles out. It was revealed that Rhea Ripley was the woman under the mask.

It was teased for a while that Judgement Day would be getting another member. Many people thought that member would be Ciampa or Balor. Rhea Ripley wasn’t my first guess on who would be in Judgement Day next, but this is a big deal for Ripley. Ripley joining Judgement Day is a great idea and something that can help bring Ripley to that next level.

1. The Bloodline Remains At The Top

The main event tonight was a massive six-man tag match. Drew McIntyre teams up with the Raw Tag Team Champions, RK- Bro as they take on The Bloodline. Originally, it was supposed to be RK-Bro taking on The Usos in a tag team championship unification match, but that was changed for whatever reason.

The match itself was about as good as it gets. It was a very hard-hitting match, between both teams. The match teased Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre in one-on-one action a lot, and the fans loved it. All hell breaks loose towards the end of the match and Reigns puts McIntyre through the table.

Next. Now is the time to add Naomi to The Bloodline. dark

Ultimately, the match ends when Reigns hits a spear on Riddle for the three-count. It should be interesting to see what happens next, but for now, one thing remains. The Bloodline remains at the top of the WWE mountain.
